As the air hit my leg and I felt Lindsey sitting on top of me, I knew what she was going to say. Soon the inevitable, “Abby, time to get up!” awoke me and I sleepily got up. After making my bed, I helped Dad make a pancake breakfast and we sat down and enjoyed a delicious meal. We dressed in swim suits and sweats and headed to the swimming pool. (Thirty degree weather does not stop us from going swimming.) We (the kids) swam for about half an hour and then went into the spa while Mom supervised. After the spa, we went to the bathrooms and took nice, hot showers. We came back to the RV to find the slide-outs in and us ready to go – practically. We quickly dried dishes, secured everything, and bounced over back-roads to the freeway. Soon we reached our next destination - Costco.

By this time it was lunch time so, after shopping, we had a delicious food court lunch. Then we drove some more while folding laundry and talking about a variety of subjects. Our main subject for the day was weddings. Caitlin and Lindsey had seen a cake with a zebra print high heeled shoe on it. Lindsey wanted to, for some reason, wear it at her wedding, and so we started talking about and fantasizing about our future weddings. While we were doing this, our parents were trying to find a place to fill our empty propane tank. We began our great propane search, going first to two places that either were closed or did not sell propane to the public, and then another two whose numbers were out of service. Finally we found a U-Haul store that sold propane so we filled up there.

To continue our driving day we drove some more until we reached the Cape Canaveral National Seashore just as evening fell. Since there was no parking for RV’s at the visitor center, we parked by the beach near the entrance, and quickly walked to the visitor center that was three quarters of a mile away, and reached it just in time to watch the park’s movie before it closed. Without the need to hurry, we slowly walked back, still talking about weddings and went on the turtle mound hike to view Mosquito Lagoon. Arriving at the parking lot, we journeyed out onto a short boardwalk by the ocean. The sunset was very pretty over the water and we enjoyed it all immensely. We had hoped to drive the park loop since we had a half an hour until the park closed. However, we found they had shut up early for the night and all the entrance gates were closed. Slightly disappointed, we drove on, looking for a boondocking spot. Finally we found a rest stop where we were able to have a delicious Sicilian pizza dinner and then spend the night. Before we went to bed we did math with Daddy, and then it was time to sleep by the freeway.
