At First Glance: In our hostel room, there are two sunshine-yellow doors next to each other, one leading to the toilet, and the other to the shower. The shower room looks like a campground shower. Gross gray concrete floor, two hooks, a small shelf, and a simple shower nozzle coming straight out of the wall. On-off is up-down, hot-cold is left-right. Just the bare necessities and nothing more.

Shower Power: Not great. I had to stand on my tiptoes and stretch my head as close to the showerhead as possible to rinse my hair. And the showerhead was embedded in the wall, so there was no way to adjust its position or pressure.

Hot or Not?: Pretty good. Got hot and stayed hot with minimum fuss. Easy to adjust and correctly labeled, too.

What Made it Nice: There was not much nice about this shower.

What Made it Not-So-Nice: Linens for for an extra fee of 3.75 per tiny thin white towel! So we only purchased four and had to share and use wet towels. Not fun.
