Quality Inn & Suites Shower, Wilmington, DE
At First Glance: Oh my socks! A bathtub big enough to swim
in! With jets, too!
Shower Power: Weird. It was fine if we took off the showerhead (which we could do very easily) and held it right next to our own head. It was lots of water coming out of lots of holes, which didn’t provide a whole lot of force. And the bath water came out of an arching silver faucet about six inches wide and half an inch tall. It was like a steady miniature waterfall. Very nice.
Hot or Not?: Wonderfully hot, only the temperature adjusters weren’t labeled, so we had to remember which was which. We learned pretty quickly, though!
What Made it Nice: The chance to relax and take a bath and shave. ‘Twas blissful. Abby went swimming, and Lindsey and I also had blasts in our baths. Dad fell asleep a couple times during his bath. After her bath, Mom’s back was so wonderfully relaxed that she felt like she could finally move again! She could even touch her toes! And it was a Jacuzzi, so it had headrests, massage jets, bubbles, and even lights that changed color and made the water awesomely colorful too!
What Made it Not-So-Nice: Mom initially had a hard time figuring out the technology of the thing, so she accidentally squirted herself back and front with freezing cold water!
