At First Glance: White and clean, spacious and lovingly
decorated with flowers. Warm inside too! But why only one bench, and between
the bathroom stalls and the sinks, while the showers are further on to the back
of the room?
Shower Power: Wonderfully powerful spray. Almost too hard!
When turned on, it sprayed straight at the curtain, powerfully enough to make
it float beyond the little barrier on the ground that attempted to keep the
water inside the shower, with little luck.
Hot or Not?: Plenty hot, but the knobs weren’t labeled, so
it was hard to figure out at first.
What Made it Nice: The power, the ample changing space, the
cleanliness.
What Made it Not-So-Nice: Lindsey was too tall to see
herself in the mirrors above the sinks! And only a soap dish in the shower. A
bath mat would have kept the water contained nicely, but there was nothing!

At First Glance: Hilariously horrible, and yet horribly hilarious.
Along one hallway, on the right side, men’s restrooms and then women’s
restrooms – consisting of one toilet in a stall, one sink, and a collapsible
table and chair. On the left side of the hallway, first men’s shower room and
then women’s shower room. All four rooms had doors painted the brightest,
gaudiest yellow I have ever seen. This was clearly a man’s work, and not a
professional Mr. Handyman at that. Plywood ... Continue reading...

At First Glance: Nicely decorated, beautiful tilework in the
shower walls, not very spacious, but nice benches and hooks outside the shower,
and shelf inside the shower.
Shower Power: Not bad, but definitely not as powerful as it
could be.
Hot or Not?: Wonderfully hot and easily adjustable. Abby was
confused about how her shower was cold, and then hot, but it eventually
adjusted well for her, and all other showerers have no complaints.
What Made it Nice: Fake flowers decorated the bath h... Continue reading...

At First Glance: Very nice, very clean (had just been
cleaned), and very spacious. Well-decorated, too!
Shower Power: Nice spray, but rather wide.
Hot or Not?: Either very hot or very cold; the happy medium
was not to be found. Very hard to adjust.
What Made it Nice: Hooks, benches, in-shower shelves, and
the whole place to ourselves.
What Made it Not-So-Nice: Shower curtain rather than door
made for dangerous situations when off-balance. Also, had to wait until 8 am when
daily cleanin... Continue reading...

At First Glance: Wow. So pretty! Real tiled walls and
floors, in greens, tans, and browns – nice earthy, wilderness-like tones. Every
so often in the tiled walls was a cute little painted picture of wildlife, a
couple songbirds, or butterflies. Three small-ish shower stalls, and one
gigantic handicapped-accessible stall.
Shower Power: Showerhead was very far away. The spray looked
like it would be powerful just under the showerhead, but by the time the water
got to our heads, the spray was... Continue reading...

At First Glance: Plain and ordinary. Nothing fancy. Not too
filthy.
Shower Power: Wow! What a spray!
Hot or Not?: Plenty hot, and adjustable too!
What Made it Nice: Plenty of changing room outside the
shower stalls across from bathroom sinks, complete with a long bench and lots
of hooks.
What Made it Not-So-Nice: Floor was dirty just from people
walking on it. A simple floor mat would have taken care of that nicely.

At First Glance: Gross beige linoleum floor clashed with
even grosser taupe-painted stall walls. Blue letter stickers placed on shower
doors announced “SHOWER” in a not straight line. The shower curtain wasn’t wide
enough, the shower rod wasn’t high enough, and neither was the showerhead. The
floor was dirty, there was no changing area, the showerhead had dried
disgustingness on it, and the temperature adjuster knob glowed green with
unwelcome growth.
Shower Power: Just better than p... Continue reading...

At First Glance: Very cute, well-decorated, coordinated, organized,
spacious.
Shower Power: Wonderful! Impressively forceful.
Hot or Not?: Perfectly hot, even after several showers in a
row.
What Made it Nice: Bathtub attached to it – very handy! Also
two shower-length built-in shelves in the shower wall, a soap spot, AND a
shower caddy with two shelves and two hooks! Yay!
What Made it Not-So-Nice: Nothing, nothing, absolutely
nothing!

At First Glance: A long icy, snowy, slippery wooden ramp
with lots of switchbacks leads up to an all-wooden structure that’s not that
big to begin with.
Shower Power: Nice enough spray, just not enough water
coming out of it.
Hot or Not?: Plenty hot, even after several showerers have
gone through at the same time.
What Made it Nice: One big and one small, both relatively
clean, and shower mat separates us from the grimy floor.
What Made it Not-So-Nice: No changing space, no hooks, no... Continue reading...

At First Glance: Well-decorated, compared to the rest of our
rental house.
Shower Power: Alright, but hopeless if someone else is
showering upstairs.
Hot or Not?: Again, almost decent, unless, of course, someone
else is showering upstairs.
What Made it Nice: Lots of space, and a bathtub attached.
What Made it Not-So-Nice: Pokey, painful bath mat.
