At First Glance: Hilariously horrible, and yet horribly hilarious. Along one hallway, on the right side, men’s restrooms and then women’s restrooms – consisting of one toilet in a stall, one sink, and a collapsible table and chair. On the left side of the hallway, first men’s shower room and then women’s shower room. All four rooms had doors painted the brightest, gaudiest yellow I have ever seen. This was clearly a man’s work, and not a professional Mr. Handyman at that. Plywood painted white so thin we could still read the writing on the wood made up the stall’s walls. Two “shower” tension rods (with the store labels still on them!) for each shower stall, one at the entrance to the stall, one between the changing area and the shower itself. The outer rod held up a genuine fake leather curtain (“100% polyester), the kind of curtain you would put on your downstairs basement window that nobody will ever see. Inside the changing area was one folding chair, two very large utility-like red hooks protruding from the stall’s walls on either side, and a silver towel rod, conveniently close to the shower. The shower’s interior walls appeared to have been tiled by someone who didn’t really know what a straight line was. The floor was an unlikable linoleum, with a squishy, wet gray mat just outside the shower. And the ceiling was that of a high school classroom; trust me, I know.

Shower Power: The stream looked promising, but was really rather pathetic. That’s what happens when we try to shower six people all at the same time.

Hot or Not?: Plenty hot… at first, at least. After a while, the six of us competing for hot water made the temperature range from very cold to not very warm. The temperature adjusting knobs were clearly and correctly labeled, though!

What Made it Nice: I loved this shower caddy! It was darling. Made of plastic, it had blue trim where needed, two shelves, two soap dishes, and two little hooks. And it was relatively clean and spacious, with no bugs in sight.

What Made it Not-So-Nice: The general appearance of the shower and unpleasing temperature of the water.
